As an unregulated industry is it very easy for anybody to set up shop and start calling themselves a building inspector and as a result many home buyers are hiring these businesses to conduct the home inspections on properties that they are looking to potentially buy

Until regulations are implemented it is going to be the responsibility of the consumer to do their due diligence when contracting a home inspection company
